In my mind, Gary Leeman was the least likely because he was never expected to do it.

Wayne Babych did it once, but there were huge expectations on him out of junior and he was injury prone

Bobby Carpenter did it once, but he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated when he was a 17 yr old high school phenom.

But Babych and Carpenter were expected to be high scoring leaders in the NHL, and had brief glimpses of greatness.

Leeman..........was a lucky S.O.B that one year.

I'm going with Jacques Richard of the Nordiques. 50 goals in 1980-81, but only hit 20 one other time in his career. 10 seasons, and 32% of his goals came in 1 year!

Great question dude!
what about Gary Leeman with the Leafs. What about Bernie Nichols playing out of his mind to score 71..he never scored 50 prior.

How about Teemu Selanne scoring 76 goals in his rookie year (92-92)? Like everyone was expecting that right? It took him 4 more year before he scored 50 again.
