The company is very laid-back and I don't want to dress too stuffy. Plus, I am coming from the Mid-West and don't want to miss the mark on Seattle fashion. I dress well normally and usually wear a skirt and blouse with a jacket for an interview.

Let me tell you-as someone who lives here in Seattle, the same rules apply anywhere and if you want to make a really good impression, here are some key things:

1. No crazy hair or makeup.
2. No crazy accessories.
3. No jeans, athletic shoes, sweatpants, or sweatshirts.

A knee-length skirt, blouse, and jacket will work quite well.

Make sure the skirt is not too short, but the whole set sounds perfect for an interview, try using neutrals and avoid shocking colors. Also don't wear tons of make-up. Just make sure you look simple, professional and natural.

no matter where you interview or what the company you are interviewing at dresses like, I always think you should dress nicer than you think. If were in your shoes I would wear my nice black and white kneelength tweed skirt, red turtleneck silk sweater, black kneehigh boots and black leather jacket. Nice, polished, not a suit, but very elegant.
