Hi,
The "load" on the drivers side flashers are un-even.
This basically means you have different rated bulbs in the front to the back.
Usually, you would have 21 watt bulbs for your flashers, one of your drivers side flasher bulbs is less than 21 watts.
If you replace this with the correct bulb, the indicators will flash at the correct speed.
Hope that helps
Danny

Usually a bulb will either cause the flasher to either blink faster, or not blink at all. this is built into the system to alert the driver if a bulb or connection is bad. It uses the same flasher for the right and left side. Turn on your four way flasher, and look at the lights as they flash on both sides at the same time. Maybe there is a bulb burned out that you didn't notice. That's all I got...

The flash rate is determined by the resistance in the circuit. More resistance, more current draw, faster flash rate. On the fast side look for a bulb that the glass envelope is blackened on. That would indicate that the filament has lost some material and is ready to go bad. If you don't have that problem look for corrosion on the bulb bases and/or the sockets. Corrosion will cause a high resistance connection. Solution is to clean them real good by scraping with a knife blade and then coating the bases with dielectric grease (available at parts stores) to prevent recurrence. Many years ago all the cars used dielectric grease on bulb contacts, then they dropped for money savings.

Check that your car doesn't have any blown bulbs. If that is no problem then check that all the indicator bulbs are of the same rating (voltage). If one bulb has a higher rating than the other it will generally cause the flasher to blink slower as it has to draw more power to flash.

If all lights are working, it's possible you have the wrong bulb in. Make sure you have the right number bulb, usually an 1157 or 3157, depending on your socket (1157 is round at the bottom, 3157 is flat). If not sure of the number that is suppose to be in there, look at the other side or ask an auto parts store.
