Never would I sink down to that level! Not even in your dreams! People who judge others by what they wear are just oh, so, predictable. I know as, I'm not a stupid idiot who does those sort of things! I judge people by what's on the inside not the outside. And I'm one of those few people who actually mean it. Also of course as all other civilized people I am not particularly fond of people who dress terribly or outrageous. I'm only human! But I'm not one of those "judgmental" people. That is the truth. For real.

Yes, mostly. But in doing that I know I miss out on meeting people that would be supremely interesting, so it's not something I admire in myself. The sad part is that I do it so often and so automatically. It takes 0,9 seconds mostly to judge a person if you're use to it, but I usually try to take a second look. I'm guessing most people do judge a person by the way s/he looks. Though I think they should be more thorough, whilst not jumping to conclusions, even though it's easier that way.
Thank You! Join me next week when I'll be preaching about traffic safety.

Yes, it's hard not to. You can gain a lot of insight about a person by their appearance. The important thing though, is to make sure to keep an open mind in case your assumptions based on dress and appearance don't turn out to be consistent. For example, someone who dresses sloppily, but still is tidy and has attention to detail.

Broadly. If I see a guy wearing a $4000 suit and $700 shoes I expect him to be pretty sharp. On the other hand, when he's wearing pants pulled down showing his underwear, I don't even bother listening.b

There are times when I do judge someone based on their entire. When someone is walking down the street with a leather jacket with a skull and cross bones I say to myself I don't think this person is gospel filled.
And sometimes when I see a person with lots of piercings I ask myself, if they'll do that to themselves, what would they do to me?

personally in most cases i do...
but i always tried to be less vocal about it.
this will put me on a safer side.
i always remember the small parable i heard when i was a child. it goes something like a knight misjudge a prince for a beggar because on how he dress. bottom line, the moral lesson of the story was not to judge a book by its cover.
hope this helps.

It is hard not to. I believe you can be poor and look clean . You can find nice clothes at resale shops or on a sales rack. Appearance says it all. Unfortunately people judge b/c a first impression says it all.

Sad but true. Not because clothing reveals class, but simply because clothing reveals character. Someone who comes over to your house wearing sweatpants and an old t-shirt immediately shows that they're intensely focused on things aside from self-image. Folks who come over to your house wearing knee-high heels and short shorts tell you that they're more interested in attracting attention to themselves rather than focusing on definite goals. Someone who comes over to your house dressed in jeans and a collar shirt tells you that he seems to have a stable lifestyle figured out ( a balance between a social life and realistic goals).

Yes
If the jeans are cut or worn way below the belt line so that too much shows.
Short shirts & belly buttons look fine / cute.

Sometimes. If they are wearing their jammies, I look down on that. If their clothes are overly revealing or too showy, I look down on that. I find that the classy people, the people with money buy classic clothes that make them look put together nicely, yet not obviously.
