In Michigan there was a grand jury case where there was a proposal to take away the poeples right to vote for the presidential primaries. Nobody took it seriously nor new about it, sounds imposible. The judges said that they would never even concider voting in favor of ot. Within a week the judges who appossed it the most and lobbied against it for some reason (HUMMM I WONDER WHY, Could it be political conspieracy fueled by $$$). So it passed and the constitutional right's of the peoples right to vote was violated and there's nothing we can do abought it (sounds a little like apartide, don't it). What's next? how far will they go before the people get mad enough to exercise their right to bear arms and use them. Pretty soon the presidential election will only be voted for by the governors.

Is the time now? I'm so damn mad I'm almost to the point where I'm ready to go at it if you are. What do you think?

Sorry about the misspelled words my spell check doesn't work.

Maryjill, your right I should have said selective party voting, but isn't that sort of the start of the same think as politicians deciding who we can and can't vote for?

This worried me and I went looking and here is what I found.
It seems that up until now, Michigan primaries were open.
I believe that the proposal you are talking about is this one.

-- Require a statewide presidential primary election on January 15, 2008. -- Delete the requirement that a presidential primary be held on the fourth Tuesday in February in each presidential election year.
-- Require an elector to indicate in which political party primary he or she wished to vote.
-- Require the Secretary of State to prescribe procedures to ascertain an absent voter's party selection, and to ensure confidentiality of the selection.
-- Prohibit a political party from using the elector party selection records except as provided in the bill, and prescribe a misdemeanor penalty for a violation.
-- Authorize the State chairpersons of participating political parties to change the primary date or cancel the primary under certain conditions.
-- Change the February regular election date to coincide with a statewide presidential primary election.
-- Require a party to have received at least 25% of the total vote cast in the State, rather than 5% of the total vote cast in the nation, for the office of President in the last presidential election in order to participate in a statewide presidential primary election.
-- Delete a requirement that the State compensate cities and townships for processing electors' designations of political party preference.
-- Repeal provisions pertaining to the selection of delegates to a State or national convention.

All this does is limit the selection of republican candidates to republicans and democratic candidates to democrats, thus preventing a crossover vote which would give a false positive to any candidate of the other party.

EDIT: I believe that it is to make sure that there is one candidate from each party who is the choice of the people in that party. There have been abuses where someone was voted for by members of the opposite party in an effort to change the results of the primary and thus make it impossible for the members of that party to nominate the person of their choice. This closing of the primary just insures that the members of each party get to pick the candidate of their choice. Most other states have already done it.

read this, then follow the links.... then draw your own conclusion... Also everyone should re-read the Declaration of Independence.

Understand the truth of the matter... we have a one party government with 2 clearly defined factions. It does not matter which of the two factions within the party you support. It no longer matters because the Bildeberg Group controls our government in the interest of pursuing their own agendas. Our government is supposed to be a reflection of We The People, and it should be in support Our agendas. Instead, our government expects us to be a reflection of them, and support their agendas.

Does anyone not remember the smokescreen in Florida during the Bush/Gore election? Who is the governor of Florida? and who is their Father? Or the fact Kerry so graciously 'conceded' his run for office near the end? Bush and Kerry are both members of Skull and Bones... a chapter of the Bildebergs in America. John F. Kennedy Televised his speech about secret societies in America... and was assassinated shortly thereafter.

The simple fact here is that our votes no longer count and the Electoral College does not represent We The People either (it is also bought and paid for by the Bildeberg Group). It is a clever facade to keep us comfortable in the illusion that we actually have a choice in the matter. The next US President has already been bought and paid for, and I can assure you that person is not on the side of We The People.

When you consider that several members of our government (like Hillary Clinton and Rick Perry, to name two, and believe me, there are many others) have been witnessed attending Bilderberg meetings in secret with other foreign heads of state (which is considered an act of Treason) it should give us all a strong cause for more than just concern.

The bottom line here is that our trusted government is a puppet regime guided and controlled by the globalist elite. They are manipulating more than just America. They have already engineered and and finalized the European Union, and I can assure you they have no intention of stopping there. Already, our current President has signed documents that effectively Eliminate the United States, and also eliminates the most vital aspects of our constitution, and also grants the office of President sole jurisdiction and power. Power to inflict martial law upon the American People among other things. This was done without the consent of Congress. Keep in mind, Prescott Bush, our current President's grandfather aided in funding Adolph Hitler. George Bush, our current president's father asked America on national television to forgive the Nazi war criminals.

These emergency camps that FEMA is building around the country are not for emergencies. These are Interrment Camps (concentration camps) where the Government intends to depopulate the US.

Has no one noticed all the cameras going up on our Highways and our neighborhood streets? Or that your vehicle tags and inspection stickers now come equipped with RFID Chips? Or that every Legal Immigrant must get a new Green Card issued (one equipped with an RFID Chip).
Do none of you realize yet that the new drivers licenses and US Passports will also have RFID Chips, as will the "Real ID" when it is passed into law? For that matter, most of us already carry in our wallets bank cards and credit cards that have embeded RFID chips in them. Some Companies now require their employees to have RFID Chips implanted in their bodies (on the hand). I can assure you that these companies are arms of Globalist Elite controlled companies. Who do you think pays Verichip Corporation to do what they are doing?

If it has a basis in FACT it is not propaganda.

At this point in time, we all have the choice to be the blind sheep that follow on command and submit to their hypnotism and programming, or We can stop living in fear of losing all we have as individuals and start thinking as a free society with a common interest...protecting our inalienable rights. The thing everyone needs to realize is that if we continue to blindly follow as sheep, we will lose it all anyway.

Seems a person needs a Law degree to understand this stuff.
What I get is; the state legislature is trying to move the primary election date up to January from February, but that was defeated.

So the Michigan "Primary" election is going to be in Feb. 2008. However, if you want to vote for a candidate you may have to be "REGISTERED" in that candidates party.

I just changed from a registered Independent to a Republican to be able to vote for Republican Ron Paul in the Primary elections in my state.
