I'm gay myself so this isn't a homophobic thread or anything. I know being direct and ask someone straight up is the best policy, but sometimes that's hard to do, especially when you're working at a place like Best Buy.
Anyways, there is a guy at work, whenever he sees me, he shakes my hand by squeezing it, and if he's far away, he would smile and wave.
EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Don't you think that's just too excessive?
I'm polite and friendly and I wave and say hi too, but not that excessively. He could be a phony, but he could also be gay.
What non-perverted thing can I do to find out about his sexual orientation?

Since this guy is always very friendly,ther are a few possibilities...
1. He's gay,& hopes you may be,also.
2. He's just a needy,friendly person.
3. He's straight,but feels your gay,& wants to show his support to you...
Talk with him a few times & see if you can figure out his orientation.Whatever it turns out to be,you may find yourself a new friend...LOL

Ask him if he goes out and where. He could name some gay clubs. Or is he married or in a relationship? Just talk to him and tell him . Maybe he wants you and is scared to say.

You are gay ,just asked them. That would be the best way. Ask them if they are gay, or straight. Pretty easy

ya it is hard to find out since you dont want to be rude. if you like him be like "if you were gay i think we would be perfect" that way he can respond and say if he is or isnt! good luck! :)
