I myself am pulling out of everything, even cash that sits in the bank. 1987 is going to swing by again sometime around May or June of 2008. And depending on how that goes, either we will see a leveling out or worse, head for the 1930's depression and keep on going.

Many I know have started to stock 7 yrs worth of food, basics, toilet items, getting out of the market, debt, etc. Some might call us crazy... but when it collapses, we'll see who has food and who doesn't.

Poster #1 nailed it. Because if you are wrong, the consequences can be severe. When you short, you can lose your investment, and then much more!!

When you invest in stocks or mutual funds, you can only lose the amount of your investment.
