But for real, we Americans (yeah and we come in a lot of shades, whether you hate whites or blacks or whatever, the terrorists hate ALL OF US) are sitting here letting all these people into our country and we know for a fact that a bunch of them are planning to attack us. Don't know how I got a thumbs down for saying that, unless folks are scared blind. Also, we have a lot of problems with our own country. SO MANY Americans are in poverty and there are limited options, but still we want to let everyone else come here and have a chance. Maybe they forgot history: Rome fell when it was overrun by barbarians. Wouldn't it be smart to say, tough luck, NO MORE VACANCY? Then search out those terrorists who already got in, secure the borders, and take care of our own????

I am against violence, and believe me, I want to be here just as much as you want us to be here, so do us immigrants a favor, and stop polluting Yahoo with your ignorant thoughts.And also, I wouldn't talk about poverty. The big lie is that they are taking jobs that Americans will not do. I don't know of any job a decent hard-working American will not do. I've worked in a laundry and a meat-packing plant in the past and I was glad to have the work.
The problem is that the immigrants who come in now are no better workers than the average American. They are getting in the country through bribery, fraud, and other illegal activities. A lot of legal immigrants have falsified information and credentials on their H1B visas. I work in the tech industry now and I have seen this firsthand.
The liberal politicians have sold our country out to these invaders because they think they'll get votes out of them in the future.
Edit: About those asylum seekers. They come here on some trumped-up political persecution for the free housing and money that they couldn't get in whatever 3rd world cesspool they came from. I see them all the time. They hate America; they're just here for the free ride. Those people who say we should let them in don't live in he same neighborhood with this scum.

That WOULD be the smart thing to do... unfortunately, our government always seems to bend over backwards for the special interest groups and minorities in this country while the MAJORITY suffers by not getting the same attention!!!
There are MORE THAN twice as many poor white people in this country than poor black people, but you never hear about the poor white person... All we ever hear about is the poor black people who live in the inner-cities and all the things that we should do to help THEM!!
Does it make any sense to help a smaller number of people just because they are a minority???
Less than 15 percent of our population is black...
Around 15 percent of our population is Hispanic...
Over 60 percent of our population is white...
I would bet those numbers would surprise A LOT of people today...
I REALLY would love to live in a world where all people REALLY were treated equally... but, as long as we do things for people (EVEN GOOD THINGS) based on a person's race, we WILL NEVER truly be equals!!!

No, not really. While there are problems and they need to be solved, spending energy on immigration, especially Mexican immigration, is a waste of time right now. There are many, many more important issues that need to be resolved.
There are many laws on the books that just need to be enforced. This will keep illegal immigration under control until a better policy can be implemented.
Keeping dangerous people out of the country is another matter. Again, there are plenty of laws on the books, there just needs to be enough money and enough will to enforce and police the laws that exist.

What scares me is that illegals still can use our medical system since no one is turned away at ER's and that so many times I read stories about people being murdered or killed in drunk drivings and it's an illegal person. So now they take up prison systems. It's hard to just say NO but we have to draw a line. They are not citizens and should not be getting all of the rights citizens do.

Yup my parents and I are actually pretty pissed at that...My grandparents immigrated here the right way, going through the system, learning the history and the constitution, and got their citizenship...they EARNED their right to be here - and these illegals keep coming in here using up our tax dollars, taking up space, jobs, etc...and now clinton wants to give them drivers licenses??

you know what? the mexicans and indians were here way before any british white man. and the only reason alot of people have homes now is because the mexicans who get out in whatever weather for $9 an hour to lay brick or lay foundation. over $7 million for the stupid fence that they are putting up at the border and twice as much money in Iraq and plenty more lifes of our loved ones. so tell me where our own are from. because I can't think of one british man who came over with a green card!!!!

Thing is ... we have people HERE that are planning on attacking us. Citizens, etc.
Ultimately, if you are willing to put up a wall, you MUST be willing to state that you deserve access to all the joys that are America by virtue of the accident that you were born here, while those who happen to be born on the other side of that wall .... don't.
That is, it is perfectly OK if they starve.
Yeah, there are people who cross the border with the intent of doing harm, but most are doing it so that their families can eat.
Frankly, I am not arrogant enough to say that I deserve all that is America and they don't.
