I was browsing on google news > health. And then I found an article that said that menstrual blood has adult stem cells.

BUT are those stem cells only good for the person they came from or can they be used for anybody?

Embryonic stem cell research was never illegal. What the Bush administration opposed was federal funding for it. So to answer your question, as written, yes, I support the research. But not federally funded. Grants and federal funding tend to delay research. People become dependent on the money, which they lose when the objective is achieved. Private funding generally results in more efficient research.

she's asking if it's true or not. I don't think there are.

Some people are under the delusion that you can only get stem-cells from fetuses, but it isn't true. There are several sources. I just don't think menstrual fluid would have it - it's just dead tissue and blood, right?

Well the thing is women actually lose an unfertilized egg during menstruation so that will have stem cells as well.
