I missed the first couple of episodes of Moonlight...but I'm hooked anyway! The reporter found a file on herself in his office last night...what's their connection?

When Beth was 4 years old, she was kidnapped by his wife, Coraline, who turned him into a vampire against his will on their wedding night.He had to save Beth from Coraline, and he couldn't let her go after that, so he always stayed close, just in case she needed help.

Mick save her life when she was a child. Mick's wife had taken her to 'feed on'. He 'staked her; and then during the struggle a fire was started, and Mick grabbed Beth, and left, and he saw his wife at the window, trying to get out.
The wife turned up recently, and it will be interesting to see what works out.
