Though my politics tend to lie with liberal defined, unfortunately not often exhibited by the party who claims to have similar beliefs. I should have said liberal.

People do have a tendency to want to label.

It is true that for a long time the conservative parties had been protesting people doing anything on the basis of global warming claiming that it was bad science. It is also true that liberal candidates starting using the global warming issue far earlier than conservatives (those that have).

Personally, I think skepticism is a healthy thing. I also believe that if there is a truck heading at you on the highway it pays to get off the road even knowing that it might actually just be a picture of a truck...

That is, if you're looking for proof beyond a shadow of a doubt, by the time you are satisfied, you are dead.

what's a "Bush Conservative"? that's an oxymoron. there became not something in any respect conservative with reference to the Bush administration. And in case you hate Bush lots, and love Obama lots, in line with probability the questions you're able to be asking are... Why is Obama persevering with to accomplish (or maybe develop up) all the Bush administration (CFR) rules? Why will there nevertheless be 50,000 troops in Iraq in 2012? Why are people who thought they could be coming residing house going to be shipped off to Afghanistan quite? Why did Gates proceed to be? Why are CIA "renditions" (abductions) and torture nevertheless A-ok? Why is Obama retaining the Bush administration from analyze and indictment? Why does the Council on distant places kin carry lots effect interior the two political events? Why are the Clinton and Bush households so deeply intertwined? I.E. invoice Clinton trafficked drugs for Daddy Bush while he became CIA director. look it up. Why are lots of figures from the Clinton administration resurfacing in Obama's cabinet? Why became Tim Geithner appointed as Sec of Treasury? If Obama is so disillusioned by ability of the misuse of the TARP money (from the "bailout invoice" that he fought for, and voted for, back in October) that Geithner often oversaw the distribution of (as president of the vast apple Federal Reserve), then why employ and recommend Geithner? WHY DOES THE FEDERAL RESERVE REFUSE to tell CONGRESS the place 2.2 TRILLION funds WENT? would be unable to you notice what's occurring? the only element that "replaced" became the RHETORIC. The DUDE is sweet. BUSH AND OBAMA ARE controlled by ability of the comparable hobbies. Globalists, and efficient Bankers, secretly (or, not so secretly) run our entire government. the two events!!! awaken!!!!

I'm an independent and think that there is nothing wrong with recycling or conserving energy.

However, I also think that the debate as to whether Global Warming is man made, is not over.

There is still too much we don't know about climate change and I'm sorry but, I'm not ready to pat Al Gore on the back just yet.

In the 70's there was a Global Cooling scare and everyone thought there was gonna be another Ice Age. I guess Global Warming saved the planet from that.

Well, my question to you is, why do you support a political party that insists on duping the public? The party that you staunchly support wants to tax you and control how you live your life based on 'science' that is sketchy at best (global warming is real and nothing new, but man-made climate change is far from substantiated).

I'm not a Republican either. But the last thing I'd do is align myself with a political party who's greatest motivation is to build a more powerful Federal Government, hamstring the free market and control the behavior of the people.

If you are skeptical about global warming, good. But you might want to apply some of that healthy skepticism toward many of the other things your party is doing that infringe on our liberties.

I appauld your individual opinion. I appauld your guts to voice an opinion the goes against the grain. Individualism is so hard to classify that it scares people who can't live without a label to define them. No matter what party you support, an individual who thinks outside the box, is a little threatening to those who are boxed into their views. Well Done!!

"Global warming" ain't funny at all !!

Obviously most of the skeptics ARE neo-cons and 'conservatives'.

No law against it, but rather foolish to not realize what's happening unless you've been living in a cave.

'donmecca' - What you are referring to is the LAST 'ice age', about 12,000 years ago. Now THAT was 'cyclical'.

These things take ages to form and to fall back. There have been several over the eons of time.

In the present case of 'global warming', the 'problem' has been worsened by human use of fossil fuels. THAT's a fact.

If one is capable of understanding the science, and I am, it's irrefutable. Also, 'global warming', per se, has actually caused 'cold spots' at times when it's not normal, due to the blockage of the sun's natural heat with the gawdawful 'smog' and pollution in the air.

I'll give you an unrelated analogy. In the early 1990s, Mount Pinitubo erupted violently. It sent so much 'junk' into the atmosphere that the sun became 'dimmed' all over the northern hemisphere for some time.

I distinctly recall having to wear a jacket in the middle of July because it was cool enough. I was staying at a resort in southern Ontario, Canada(where I'm from) - and yes it gets quite 'hot' here in the summer(90 degrees plus many days).

THAT was due to a 'blockage' of the sun's warm rays. The same thing happens with pollution(haze and smog). Now it also can make winters warmer by keeping the bad air near the surface - I could go on, but....... !! Maybe one day you'll understand. This 'stuff' is killing us AND our planet !!

I'm fairly moderate, and I do believe that global climate change is happening. I do feel uncomfortable that the money spent on reducing carbon dioxide will take away money from other poor people.

since witnessing the habitual behavior of right-winger fanatics coming on here trying to deny that Global Warming/greenhouse effect, a fact that is responsible for life on Earth, as we know it, is a hoax perpetuated by anti-capitalists.
