The good new is that Drivers for the Dell Dimension 8100 are here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8100&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
The bad news is that there are no XP drivers there. Clic the 'Add or Edit Service Tag' link, put your service tag number in, and you should see which sound card you have installed. You could then check the manufacturer's website for XP drivers-probably either Creative (sound blaster) or Turtle Beach (Voyetra).

Hi. Each driver can be downloaded for free from most manufacturers websites. Just about all of them support Win XP.

start with Dell.com. There is a service tag number on the computer somewhere that will get you the hardware list and references to the drivers, and you can choose the operating system to filter your list
