...which has (more or less) equal contributions by equally educated advocates of Creationism\Intelligent design and Modern Evolution Theory respectively? All the websites I can find have a definite view they espouse, and while I'm sure this is valuable in its own right, it isn't very helpful to me.

What I'm thinking of is an academic site in an open discussion format with formal rebuttals et aliae eiusdem generis, open to editing only by specialists with at least an MA, and a forum for questions from laymen.

I assume you have been to the Talkorigins Usenet group. That is probably the place you will find the most academic discussion that includes regular contributions by Creationists..

You do realize that the academic discussions of biology, paleontology, geology, etc. in the regular peer reviewed scientific journals is really the place for the discussion, right? The only thing keeping Creationism out of those journals is the Creationists choice not to pursue that direction or their inability to follow the format. There have been articles submitted by Creationists and peer reviewed, such as Robert Gentry's Polonium Halo paper. On the other hand, all Creationist publications have a disclaimer stating only papers that reach a conclusion in agreement with their religious beliefs will be accepted.

Quite simply, Creationists are not generally interested in a fair academic debate because they fare poorly in them, so you won't find much from them there. On the other hand, science functions best on fair academic debate.

You must be joking - an academic site discussing creationism (I'm not using a capital C on purpose here!) is not going to exist. That's an oxymoron. Academics are able to separate fact from fiction, while creationists can't.

If you are leaning to the religious side, then perhaps there are better categories to post your question!
