Sounds like cystitis to me, its an infection in your bladder.
Its supposed to be quite uncommon in men as the urinary tract is so much longer than in a women.
The pain subsides, but you'll feel like you need to go to the loo again soon enough and it'll hurt all over again.
You might notice that your urine smells really horrid too.
I personally don't like taking anti-biotics for minor things.
What you need to do is drink lots of cranberry juice - honest, it really helps - and i also used some cranberry flavoured cystitis treatment from Boots but i can't remember for the life of me what it was called... but you need to mix it with water and drink it.
Follow my advise and it'll feel immediately better and gone in 3 days tops ;)
If it doesn't go, then get antibiotics.
I was on holiday with it once and could get stuff for it and i started to get a lot of blood in my urine...

This is just what comes to mind when I hear this.
Self diagnosis is dangerous.. get to a dr asap is the only advice I can suggest unfortunately
Good luck hope it isnt anything too serious that a round of anti biotics wont fix. (and I'm not saying u have any STD or **** like that)

It could be urinary tract infection (UTI). Drink plenty real cranberry juice, NOT cranberry juice cocktail. Go to the pharmacy and pick up some AZO and take according to directions or talk to your pharmacist. Try not to wait because UTI can become deadly if it gets into the bloodstream.

Could be the sign of an STD (sexually transmitted infection) or uniary infection. Can't suggest any quick fix, but suggest you see a Dr. Visit the GUM clinic at a local hospital if you're embaressed.

You might have a urine infection.
Drink plenty of fluids[non alcoholic] to flush out the bladder.
if it persists see your Gp for antibiotics
