like cousins who I care about but hardly ever stay in touch, or to close friends who stay in touch and know me even better than the family. Is there any reason to choose family? What do you think?

Whoever you want!!! Make sure you put it in writing. Let your decision come from the heart...family is typical, but if they aren't close, than they really shouldn't expect anything. I've always thought that anything received from an estate was to help someone else along with their life...keep the family going but if the family isn't close, help or give to those who may appreciate it and who you appreciate...a bit windy, but I've had those same concerns.

Leave it to whom ever you chose, but if there is no will, the government gets it all so pick SOMEONE, so those greedy b******'s don't get it!
