I need to go to the urologist to get the cystoscope test done. I got one done years ago with a rigid one and swore I would never go back no matter what but still having problems. I heard the fiber optic scope wasn't as painful?

I have talked to a few that still say that this caused them a bit of discomfort. I would recommend letting the doctor know that you would like to have this procedure done being under general anesthesia. If they are doing this to check to see if you have a condition called Interstitial Cystitis it is recommended that the patient be under general anesthesia when it's done because of the stretching done to the bladder to find out if it's Interstitial Cystitis.

To find out even more about Interstitial Cystitis here's a link that can help out. It's at: http://www.ic-network.com
