How refreshing to find a U.S. journalist telling it like she really sees it.

She paid compliments to a number of Republican and Democrat Presidents but the telling point was her recollection of comment by Dubbya on how only War Presidents are remembered and he wanted to be a War President..

She has no positive opinion of him at all while she did manage to find redeeming features in Reagan, Ford, Nixon and others.

She's been around a while and obviously seen the best and worst of many U.S. leaders but her comments on Bushy Jnr. stand out as an indictment on his inabalitiy.

Helen is a wonder, and a good judge of character. She has Bush's number that is for sure. Dubbya did want to be a war president, He was sure that was the way to get people to remember him. And he will be remembered but, as the worst president in our history.

I remember Helen saying the same sort of things about Lyndon Baines Johnson as she did about President Bush the Younger. She has been in Washington for over five decades and is afflicted with the same defect that many in that part of the country have. They believe that folks who sound like Lyndon and Dubya can't possibly be intelligent or be taken seriously because of that Texas accent. It is elitism of the worst order!
