I am petrified of them, it is affecting my life, I have to wash my feet all the time, I have to wear socks, I hate wearing thongs (flip-flops) I cant sleep in the same bed as my husband if he hasnt washed his feet. I cry and yell and go crazy if he wont wash them because I am scared they will touch me while I sleep. How do I overcome this, it is making me REALLY annoyed. Especially since you call somebody for help, you are crying and they just laugh at you : ( It's horrible What can I do?

That has be a phobia of some sort. Would not know what to call it.
Are you also this extreme in keeping your home clean?

I would suggest going to see a psychologist. They can help you with such an issue.
Can you wear bedroom slippers?

I'm kind of having the same problem right now because I know my carpet is old over 15yrs. and original. So in my mind, no matter how much I vacumn, I still feel like the floor is dirty.

I do scrub my feet in the shower harder than ever before and I don't like feeling this way. I of course would replace the carpet, got an estimate but right now..I can not afford it.

Contact a Good Psychologist to help you learn to deal with it so you aren't so consumed. Something has happened or you've seen something to trigger these types of emotions and the right person can find out what and work with you on it.
Call a few different ones and when you call, ask the receptionist what that Dr.'s specialty is. Ask as many questions about the Dr. as you can think of that way you will feel more comfortable.

Good luck to you ~

I think you just need to stop and really think about this one. To me, this doesn't seem like it can really be about the feet. I think that you have an anxiety disorder and this just happens to be how it is manifesting itself. Our feet were created and designed and fine-tuned over hundreds of thousands of years to be exactly the way they are. It is their job to touch the ground. It is their job to get dirty. They get dirty so we don't have to crawl around on the ground and get our mouths and hands dirty, because we could get sick from that. Keep reminding yourself of this when you are around dirty feet and then get your mind on something else and just forget about it. It won't be easy to do at first, so just start exposing yourself to dirty feet a little bit at a time. 30 seconds the first day, 60 seconds the next day. Gradually increase the amount of time you are around them until you don't care anymore. And keep in mind that I have never heard of ANYBODY getting sick because they touched a dirty foot.

You have a form of OCD obesessive compulsive disorder or a phobia.

You should address this now with a doctor or therapist before it grows and other things are included in your fears.

do the whole catholic thing of washing your husband's feet. i also had the same idea, not as bad but certainly an aversion... and he was (and is) the first and only person to get a pedicure from me.

first think about it, whats so wrong about unwashed feet? or you can either tell your husband to wear socks when he goes to bed, tell him to take a shower and not touch you with his feet

Personally I believe you should see a therapist. That's what I did to get over my fear of being sweating.Theres nothing to be ashamed of.
