Castration is the most humane way of treating pedophiles.

First of all a pedophile is a person with a sexual and emotional attraction to pre-pubescent children. A child molester (by today's society definition) is someone who has sexual contact with a child. Not all pedophiles are child molesters. And not all child molesters are pedophiles. Now with that out of the way.

Pedophilia is not a disease that needs curing. You can lower ones sexual drive by giving them excess amounts of some type of hormone but that is not a cure for anything really.

So I guess you can say it can be treated but I do not think it should be.

There are always special cases that can be treated, or there is a chance of an individual making a messed up decision that is basically a mistake. Can repeat offenders be treated? No.

There should be a sex offender island where they live out the rest of their days and never reproduce and never harm another child. They would also work to provide for their own cost of living. If they cannot comply: off to the euthanasia clinic. Goodbye cruel world!

They can be treated with the aim of getting them to control their urges but they cannot be cured and remain a hazard for the rest of their natural lives.

They must be monitored and people in geographical proximity warned about them.

I think they should be tortured in the most inhumane way possible. They are willing to do such horrible things to a child. How absolutely disgusting I really seriously do wish that they would all be tortured to death, and die in an immense amount of brutal pain. Scik Sick people. Eww

Evidence suggests that neither psychiatrists or psychologists have much success is treating people whose sexual desires are so misdirected.

What to do with such people is worth a thoughtful essay, much to long for YA. So I'll just brace myself for the ones who will shriek "Castrate them!" and "Kill them!" and remember that all these men are someone's son, often someone's husband, brother, father, grandfather, and so on, and that most would not choose to be what they are.

Yes, what they do is heinous, but who among us is able to completely ignore his/her sexual needs year after year, never once acting on them? Not many.

castration or life in prison. we need to protect the world from people like that. What people dont realise is that they gave the children they victimized a life sentence and they should not get anything less.

its more of a psychological thing then a physical thing....i think they can be treated to mental help but they have to have the will power to want to change for the better

They need therapy. Anybody that has sex with a child is not right in the head and needs HELP. They do not need to be tortured or killed they need someone to help them.

They should be treated to an azz-whooping, how about that? They should be put to death anyone who would do that to a child is unable to be saved.
