I have 3 bills. One says UN FRANC Serie 010 No 33895
7 Avril 1918. At the very top it says REGENCE DE TUNIS.
Bottom center has the words:
PROTECTORAT FRANCAIS

The other has the same except it says DEAU FRANCS in center like above. Same upper and bottom center words. Also Avril 1918 Serie 000 No. 14492.

One more has the words 50 Centimes off center on one side. Other side has Serie 33, No. 06620 emmission en 1917. It wasn't in that order. I'm having to use a magnifying glass to read everything and even with the glass I still can't read all the text.

I know it is French currency. It's just old. On the back of the Deaux Franc bill there is a written note and for the life of me I can't tell what it says.

Once of my Uncles served in WW II and was stationed in France. When I look at these bills I feel kind of sad, but also mesmerized by this currency. I know that one Franc isn't much and the 50 centimes is a lot less.

This Uncle is dead now and these make me wish I had known him before he died.

mom passed away 3 years ago. im the youngest of 7. most ppl took things of value. myself, i have her wedding ring. (given to her by her mother). i have 78's that she sang from when she was a young girl. (those are the first original LP's) the day of the victrola. its the sentimental things such as that. i think about what she must have been like as a young lady back in the days of innocence. in my heart she was a saint. i also have my fathers flag from his death given by his service in WWII. i am truly blessed. ruthie
