I had shooting pains too. I think it was from my son head butting me after he dropped. It hurt like a mother too!

I'm 35 weeks and I have been getting shooting pains in the same place for weeks, and my baby has not dropped. I know the shooting pains are normal because the baby is now excerting more pressure on the pelvis, but it doesn't mean the baby has dropped. I had an u/s on Monday and he's still in the same place, head down, but isn't in the pelvis quite yet.

It depends where the pains are. When the baby drops you shouldn't feel shooting pains, unless you are making sudden movements, its more of a pressure.
The pains are most likely braxton hicks, but be sure to tell your doctor at your next visit.

Possibly, I am having the same pains but im 36 weeks. I know in second pregnancies, you usually wont drop untill your about to go into labor. If this is your first pregnancy though, your baby could have dropped by now. i dropped early with my first but i had her early in my 40th week. Good luck to you!

Its normal i had shooting stabbing pains when i was preg with my son and he was only 3/5ths engaged. My midwife told me it was normal and there was nothing she could do about it, even though i could be walking along fine one minute and then crossing my legs in agony! Still, consult your doc or midwife for better advise.

this is normal. if the pains get to bad, take two tylenol and get your feet up. this pain is from your hips widening to prepare for baby.
Your getting ready for a baby=)
good for you. relax. this is a normal procedure.

Yeah probably. It causes pains and internal vaginal hemorrhoids, which hurt just like you're describing.
