I really didn't mind either way! As long as it was healthy. I got a girl first time and I'm now 8 weeks with my second! I don't mind this time either as i have a loft full of girl clothes from my daughter and niece and boys clothes from my nephew! My mum told me she thinks i'll have another girl but last time we all thought i was having a boy and look at how that turned out!

When my girlfriend was pregnant as the doting dad I wanted a little girl, I dont know why i just did. We were going to call her Abbie Louise and I bought her loads and loads of girly clothes pretty dresses and the like, I was really excited, we had several scans all of which indicated that yes we were going to have a little girl (I know the scans can be wrong) but still it made it all the more happier.
And it was weird when obviously my girlfriend then gave birth to a healthy baby boy, I saw him come out and realised that it was a boy and for a few seconds I was stunned, but I would never change my son for anything we play football and golf and different things together, of course I was sad i never got to meet my little abbie, but she never exsisted from the start

First time round i wanted a girl but found out it was a boy, i was a little dissapointed at first but got used to the idea and grew to love him as an individual over the months i was carrying him. With my second i really wanted a girl so we tried all the methods and old wives tales in order to get a girl, they worked so currently i have one of each and they're both wonderful. This time round i'm hoping for another boy and think i'm having one but it's too soon to know, i dont know if i'll find out until the birth as it'd be fun to have a suprise.

My partner had 4 sons from a previous relationships and no daughters, when I got pregnant I didnt even dare consider it was going to be a girl even though secretly I so wanted it to be a girl so it would be special and different for my partner after he had already been through fatherhood 4 times already, all the old wives tales said I was having a boy, the shape of the bump, the cravings, the thread with the needle, I had a boys name lined up but hadnt even thought of a girls, bought blue clothes, then on the 17th of December 2002 my daughter was born, it still brings a little tear to my eye to think of it, it took us until the final day you have to legally register your childs birth to name her - we called her Alysia, I always said though if we did have a girl she would definately be a tomboy and sure enough she hates pink, loves dinosaurs, Lions and any predatory animals and only hangs around with boys at school - but thats fine with me - i've got the best of both worlds, she makes my day everyday!

I wasn't sure really. I felt from very early on that he was a boy, though.
I liked the idea of a girl because of all the pink sparkly cutesy things you can buy for them and the idea of being able to pass my dollies onto her. Also all the nonsense about "A sons a son till he gets him a wife" that people tend to recite.
But I also liked the idea of a boy so that one day I could be proud of my big handsome son!!!
In the end I had my gorgeous little son and you know what, I would not change him for 100,000,000,000,000,000, girls! He's the most beautiful thing thats ever happened to me.

I wanted a girl and only wanted one kid. I was told I was having a girl and my baby came out a boy. I could not imagine my life without my son and I hope my next is a girl but if it is a boy then I will deal and be happy with 2 sons.

I've always wanted a boy, and I'm currently carrying a boy. I'm very excited, but I'd still be happy if it was a girl. I just want a healthy, happy baby.
