So, I've decided to put myself on a reading plan--to systematically work through good literature. Any suggestions on books for the list?

For quick good over evil - go with Sci-fi fantasy. Gor, Conan, there are series too Dragonlance is 15 books; Forgotten Realms is another 15+ books. I also like Chalker, and Fosters series.
Good literature could also include classic children books, "Cricket in Times Square" of which there are too many to type, also all the folk stories and tall tales, myths. Peace.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It's a great novel. It's got humour, tragedy and a deep message about vanity.

http://www.interleaves.org/~rteeter/grtother.html#great . Lots of lists, but I especially like the Harvard Classics list - all the books that I should have read, but (mostly) never did.
