so I hear that first pregnancies tend to go longer than the expected due date... I want to know how many of you fall into that category, and how many of you came early.. I am 36 weeks now, and of course starting to anticipate the arrival of my baby! so I am just curious..
Also, my mom went into labor 3 weeks early with me, and my sister went into labor one week early with her son.. does that mean anything when it comes to me??
;) your experience and any thoughts would be great!
Oh, and for your information, I am NOT intending to ask my doctor to induce me early, I want her to come when she is ready.
thanks!

every woman is different, expecally when it comes to pregnancy, so your mom's and sister's dilivery times are not going to help you determin if you will diliver befor you due date.

I ended up going in to premature labor at 7 months, and was put on strict bed rest, and had to be induced at 39 weeks because the medication they gave me to stop labor worked so well that my body wouldn't "go back" into labor on its own.

I was induced with my daughter, but my doctor induced me 3 days early. I was fully efaced and 2 cm dialated. My mom was 3 weeks late with every one of her 4 kids. My daughter was great and a good weight!

I was 2 weeks early with the first.

My mom's pregnancies went longer with each kid.

The labor part goes longer I think.

My son was two weeks late. I had to be induced. And they had to use a vacuum to help yank him out. He must have just liked it in there I guess.

My mom was almost 2 weeks late for me (her first) I was two days short of my due date (my first) and my MIL had my husband on his due date (only child).

It might be a family trait for you guys... but typically you go late.

yeah how your sister and mom is related to you but not definetly how yours will be, every pregnancy is different, sort of the same with subsequent pregnancies. good luck
