Take her to Sam's Club and see if a cake baked by Uncle Sam is good enough.

If not, go to a grocery store and buy a package cake mix. Make sure you read the directions on the box before you pay for it to make sure you have the rest of the ingrediants at home, BEFORE you leave the store.

Very few single Dads will have everything needed sitting around.

Cake mixes which require that you add one or more eggs will make a very moist cake.

I'd suggest the Duncan Hines brand.

Don't forget the frosting.

You'll also need two round, 8 or 9 inch baking pans.

After you bake two cakes, you put one on plate, then put lots of frosting on top, then add the 2nd cake to the top and cover the whole thing with MORE frosting.

Chocolate cakes tastes yummy but its awfully hard to get a chocolate cake out of the pan.

Its easier to get a yellow or white cake out of the pan.

My kids were always happy with a cake or pie from Sam's Club.

However, your little girl needs to learn how to bake cakes for when she gets to be a Mommy.

Hopefully that won't be for a long long time.

"No-bake" cookies are fun & easy. Ask around -- seems like everyone knows how to make them. I like substituting marshmallow creme for the peanut butter, & adding cherry extract, instead of vanilla. Then garnish each 2-inch square w/ marischinnos. Mmmm, tastes like chocolate-covered cherries!

Go to the store, have her pick it out and be sure to take pictures as you're making it. Cake mix all over, no doubt ! :)
