I am a believer in Christ, recently a guy said to me that he wanted a long-term relationship, and i too was searching for one. So I told him that before we proceed further, i just want a week to pray and find that will of God that you are the right person, and i suggested him to do the same thing. he too is a christian and an american. but the moment i said that, he stopped talking to me and said good luck. is it something wrong i said or maybe he is not a believer in christ? i am not able to understand.

God gave you His answer. It was wise of you to ask Him and not find this out a year or three down the road.

Long term relationship? A long-term (male-female romantic)relationship between Christians is called MARRIAGE. There is no "around" this. And you know when you meet the person God intended for you that s/he is the one God intended for you. Keep Looking.
