had Bill silck willy Clinton been more occupied on his presidency instead of games with monica, he would have prevented 9/11. Now as proof you should read "Jaw Breaker" by Gary Berntsen.

How many of you out there have read that excellent book, and discovered some truth about how Clinton is 90% the reason 9/11 happened.

I haven't read the book (ty for pointing it out for us) but I do know that -

Clinton pardoned known terrorists that had participated in over a hundred bombings in and around NYC, in order to win the Hispanic vote for Hillary's senate race.

He allowed the airlines to ignore new safety guidelines after the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 after they made several very large contributions to his 1996 election. Gore was directly involved in supporting the changes were not enacted.

The vast majority of the world's known terrorists widely support Hillary's presidential run.

Clinton ignored the advice of his advisers on several occasions after they approached him with opportunities to get bin Laden. Most recently in July 2000.

If it weren't for the military cuts made during the Clinton years, AF fighters would have been readily available to the NYC area on the day of 9/11, instead of having to fly out of Boston.
One tower could have been saved if not for those cuts.

Like Carter before them, the Clintons are far too sympathetic to terrorists activities and the military cuts they have always favored have the effect of playing right into terrorists' hands.

EDit: Lib logic - Clinton was not responsible for his impeachment. Reps were.

Truth - Clinton could have told the truth at any time and saved the country the embarrassment, the backlog, the money, the unproductiveness of it all.

Why DO they excuse HIS behavior in lying at our expense? Sociopaths all? Sure seems that way. Clinton's behavior excuses their own behaviors and THAT is why they just don't get it.

I think the fact that he was impeached over it did more damage than the actual fling with Monica. The Republicans have themselves to blame as much as anybody if you are going to look at it in those terms. Several times as much money was spent on the Monica incident than was spent on the 911 commission. There is no justification for that.

EDIT: You say Bush would take out OBL. Then why did he drop Afghanistan like a hot potato and attack another country that had nothing to do with 911 or OBL and wouldn't even allow his kind in his country? There have been many books written about the subject. People tend to believe the one they want to believe. That doesn't mean its true.

The reason we were attacked was mostly because the U.S. military was based in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. That would not be a good reason to us but that is a big part of why the U.S. became OBL's target. I guess you think the jihad against the U.S. was declared because Clinton fooled around.

Gee, I don't know. I personally find it very hard to believe that some highly diabetic guy living out of a cave with a cell phone was able to orchestrate 911.

I wonder if the whole thing was a sham by some other powers, hiding behind Bin Laden.

Heck, there are even reports that Bin Laden has been treated very well for his serious diabetes SINCE 911 at an American hospital in Pakistan.

I trust very few politicans ... I strongly suspect that they are ALL part of an international, elitist, connected, self-serving system. And that INCLUDES American political leaders. Yes, I am a skeptic.

I read "Jaw Breaker" a couple of months ago... I remember it being written by a CIA Officer, Gary B., and it was mostly about going into Afghanistan to get Osama B. and if we had sent 800 more troops we could have had him. I recall it pointed out how most politicians are flawed. It was critical of Bush as much as Clinton I thought. I do not recall the author saying Clinton was 90% of the reason 9/11 happened. The impression I got that there were many mistakes made and the intention was to point those out so we don't make them again! (regaurdless of who made the mistakes)

Why does Clinton worry you. Clinton's administraion single handedly begain to bring our great country out of debt. also he managed to get North Korea to begin takeing down their nuclear plans. North Korea had already begain to store ther uranium and stoped the production. He was sending 1million metric tons of crude oil to them however North Korea also was wanting to talk and trade and accept american imput and possibly democracy. when bush took over their president wanted to continue and bush said no.
now on that account even if bill had some info that could have stoped 9/11 he was out of office and not on a good note had made american leaders look like scum by being caught and so it is seriously doubtable that he had any ability to stop what happend or could have. America was free of war, comeing out of debt, and makeing more progress with world acceptance then it had in quite some years.
some things cannot be prevented. and to try to blame a man for 9/11 you should focus on the man who let the world know who was resposible Osama Bin Laden.

edit: tough room... it appears a very sensitive issue which is how it maybe should be... remember what exactly happened as a result of numerous actions, that's an interesting twist. Like the sex act that wasn't one? Bombs in the middle of the night randomly killing innocents ? Even Carter told Bill he should have handled Sudan more peacefully last trip to Darfur. The trade deficit that is due to loosening of regulations with China. HRC on Wal Mart Mexico Board of Director's resigning shorty before NAFTA was signed? I am amazed at how clear everyone's 20/20 hindsight is!

Clinton this, and Bush that. Fact: It happened. Fact: Many lives were lost that day. Fact: Blame whomever you choose - it isn't going to bring back the family members lost.

Instead of trying to blame the other guy, why not just work on making sure it NEVER happens again. It isn't Democratic, Republican, or Independent - it is AMERICAN. Until everyone realizes that, we will be at risk for another attack. Until we are UNITED at fighting against foreign terrorism, we will ALWAYS be at risk.

Now shut up and figure out how to stop it instead of telling me WHO is at fault. I don't care who is at fault - I want to know how to stop it from happening again.

DO you have ANY idea how sick and tired I am of hearing how it was " The other guys fault" all the Damn time?? The Book did not name ANYONE...It was for future information that it not happen again.
