You know how all this stereotype bullsh!t is going around...well emo and goth are just another stereotype. But punk? Let me ask you this...Would you call a Nonconformist a stereotype? Its all because you call us "Punk"....a stereotype is a name.

It all comes down to separating the real thing from the stereotype. Sure, there are punks and goths, and that means something, but tis just not what people tend to think it means. Everyone is a non-conformist to a degree, otherwise we'd all look the same. Although there certainly are some people who seem to blend into a crowd. I don't think non-conformist means anything on its own, you have to consciously decide not to conform to something or other. But, I'm getting off subject. My point is that stereotypes need to be divorced from the real thing, whatever that thing is.
