In my English class we read "The Taming of the Shrew". Now we are doing a project, we were assigned a character, and we have to deffend ourselves, saying why we shouldn't be tossed out of the hot-air ballon. I got stuck with Baptista, and I can't think of any good reasons why he should live. My grade depends on how good my argument is. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Does he love both his daughters? Does he love either one of them? Does he try to do what he thinks is best for either or both of them? Can you quote lines from the play to support your answers to any of these questions?
