My whole life I have been told you are nothing if you don't drive a nice car, have alot of cash, have a beautiful girlfriend...... now I have all that and more... I married her, I have 3 nice cars and alot of cash... I have a ton of friends but they are all married with kids too, so time with then is limited. I play with my two kids all day long... I hang out with my wife all day long too... I have been to may places..

People tell me to give back, but I'm under 40 and have plenty of time to give back....

I'm not religious, cause I was religous till I was 18.

What am I missing?

Where do you live? I know a guy in California who you should hook up with.

Look, to get all that stuff you no doubt had to work your butt off. That meant you put a lot of stuff you wanted to do off for later in life. Well now it's later so get to it. The hard part is going to be finding adventure buddies that aren't too old.
A few other ideas;

Find a crew on line and go on a long sailing voyage.
Jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
Climb a mountain or two.
Go on a cruise.
Hot air ballooning anyone?
Learn to fly and get a plane?
Take a class at a JC. Photography, Painting..?
Join a community theater group and try your hand at acting.
Skiing? Snowshoeing? Dog sledding?
Start a new business doing something that interests you. Not for the money but just for the fun and to have a chance to work with the kind of people you enjoy.

Life has no goal. You never arrive. Life is a journey with no destination. Like a day at an amusement park, you spend all your time riding ride after ride and eating cotton candy but you never go anywhere. Just have fun with it. Since you did your work and have resources, now you get to move to the head of the line and ride any ride you want. Aren't you lucky!

Peace & Joy & Adventure!

Sounds to me like you're living without a purpose. Whether it be a new career or a hobby, etc. you should try and ascertain something that's fulfilling and rewarding. If you can include your wife and kids into your new endeavor that would be even better. It's ok to live up to high expectations but I think people who live for a purpose are much happier because they not only strive for, but achieve, absolute fulfillment prior to/instead of prizes and rewards.

I hope everything works out for you, because if you're under 40 you are way too young to feel as if you have nothing left to accomplish. Email me if you ever need to talk.

Get involved with local charity's, also get your wife and children involved with you in it. It teaches your children a valuable lesson, and gives you the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to make someones life better. The salvation army is always looking for people to help with caned food drives, and red kettle bell ringers. Both are things you can do as a family, to help other families.
Also maybe volunteer at a local soup kitchen, you and your family. It will shows your kids just how good they have it, and make them appreciate the life they have.

I agree with the first person--you need God in your life. That's what you're missing.

You should sit back and count your blessings, is what you should do.

You could also volunteer--if you have the time, you should do it.

....a purpose, a brain and selflessness. You are a braggart. How sad :( You figure you have lots of time to "give back"....that kind of attitude is for small-minded people.
