Whenever I try to open something in Adobe Reader, it won't open and I have to Ctrl Alt Delete to get it unstuck. The Adobe box opens but after that, it is stuck. I have tried removing it and reinstalling it and it does the same thing.

Second, my CD burner will play but not burn. I bought a disc cleaner and ran it through but it didn't cure the problem.

Help?

Yes it is a burner, it used to work just fine. Then I moved the computer and disconbobulated something.

I really don't know, I just didn't want to leave you hanging there... for the Adobe try updating everything, including windows or whatever you have... the burner, i'm not sure sounds like it might need to be replaced, do you have a warranty on it, cause then your safe! ...maybe I shouldn't have answered this one...

Sounds like you may some corruption in the registry. Since ctrl/alt/del works, you are running WinXP, so just put the XP cd in and do a repair. This will rebuild the registry, and things should start working again.

Wrong CD drivers, or it isn't a burner. Try different software.
Does windows label it as a burner, if not it needs the correct soft-drivers.

I dunno about adobe :S
