The team with the best record has home-field advantage or alternate between American league and National year by year ?
I don't like using the winner of the All-Star game because some players, for whatever reason, don't play in the All-Star game. They can effect the World Series and their team isn't even in it. The All-Star game is a novelty, it shouldn't effect the
World Series.

Yes, it should go back to the way it was. The only reason it was changed was because Selig called the all-star game a tie. If it was any other game, they'd have to MANAGE and play til there was a winner. Selig is a boob.

Yes, I think they should go back to having it every other year in a National League and America League Ballpark, where a team gets the advantage. It seems to me as long as they have this rule in effect that which ever team wins the All Star Game will have home field advantage in the World Series. And every year since 2003, the American League team has find hey we like this, and have won every year, and it getting boring, and maybe make you just want to have next year's All Star Game canceled, and give it to the American League.

There's no way that anyone who really understands baseball agrees with the All-star game determining homefield advantage. It's a crock marketing tactic employed by MLB.

It should be the team with the better record, as even alternating throws a wrench into which team deserves it.

They also need to do away with so many off days in the playoffs like they had this year, it took away all the momentum from the playoffs in general and made the Rockies wait an extra two days for the World Series to start, giving them eight days off that negatively affected their production.

i think it should go back to the old way also. i believe that players don't put as much into the game when they know there team is out of the playoff picture. its a game for the fans and should remain that way. the players don't take it serious and treat it as a day of fun. the way it should be. its the only time i watch a game and see all the players smiling and having a good time. it should have been left with the team that has the best record and rightfully so. the best record team should have it. they worked and played the hardest all season long.

Yes, and also change the Division Series from the best 3 out of 5 to the best 4 out of 7 like the LCS and World Series.

I agree wholeheartedly. The team with the best record should get home field advantage in the World Series. Period.

I disagree because that makes the All Star game important. It gives players an incentive to want to win it. Other wise smart players would not want to risk an injury on a game that doesn't even matter.

This is the same reason the Pro Bowl sucks in football. Good players don't try.

I think it should be the old way. The AL always wins. Its not fair. LOL. I still think its more fair for the team with the best record.
