why in pregnancy woman wants to eat lemon?

Studies have shown lemon juice or even the smell of lemons can help ease morning sickness.

Also, an expectant mother has an increased need for Vitamin C. Her immunity is somewhat comprimised.

There is an old wives tale that says that if you crave sweet things you are having a girl and if you crave sour things its a boy. I didnt believe this but its funny because I am having a boy and before I even found out what I was having, I craved limes and lemons and used to eat them plain with salt lol. So it might be true

I dont think it happens with all pregnant women. I know that i wanted lemon type things, but not actual lemons. It could be that it is sour and sweet.

Pregnant women often want to eat wierd things or have cravings for certain foods, I couldn't get enough bananas! There are some women who crave dirt when they are pregnant it's called 'pica'.
