You could try reinstalling it, and see what happens. Otherwise call VisionTek's support number at 1-866-883-5411. If they can't help you get it working you should return it.

'Googling' the ATI Radeon X1550 indicates it's compatible with Windows Vista 3D graphics. 'Googling' your system spec's from the factory indicates Windows Media as the OS. Perhaps there's a compatibility problem. I don't quite understand the, "and now I don't get a display on my old card after the Windows logo". You do have your monitor plugged into the new card, right? If you are switching back to the onboard graphic's, and everything's fine, you're plugged into the onboard graphic's port on the mobo, so yes, you're not going to get graphic's from the new X1500. Email me. EDIT: You did install the driver's from the X1500's disk first, then powered down, and installed the X1500 card?

Start with the bios before windows starts. There should be an option to choose which card to start first, or disable.
Then in Windows Control Panel - display - advanced, there should be a picture of a screen, or 2 screens, 1 grayed out. Click on the Grey one, and a check box should should show up says "extend my desktop to this monitor" and check this box, and click apply. You can also set resolution separately for each monitor and you can click and drag the monitor screens around relative to each other to match the way they are actually positioned in front of you.
