A cookbook of favorite Christmas/holiday recipes. Obviously there wouldn't be enough time to make it for this year. But do you think that is a good gift idea or not?

Personally, as a guy who like to cook (but is not very good) I would love to get that as a gift.

NO I would not want a cook book for a Christmas present. Now I am not being goofy, but some people may like to have something more personal. Not always bought with money. It depends on who you are buying it for. Blue (the cat) says that personal gifts are the ticket. If the person does cook good gift. However if it is for your g/f you might think of something that does not require work. To some people cooking is considered housework. Blue (the cat) says maybe you should think on a more personal view point. Is this what you want for a gift??? If so then by all means give it as a gift. Merry Christmas and good luck shopping.

i think it's a really cute idea, especially if you make it. just make sure that the person you're giving it to is a woman--i don't think a guy would appreciate it as much. also make sure the recipes are delicious enough. good luck!

I'm done with cooking after cooking for a family of five for thirty years. I remember cooking for our 25th wedding anniversary celebration with around 40 guests. It was a one-man show, meaning, I prepared all the food myself. I used to love cooking. But with just my husband around, we try to enjoy life without my cooking. (Though he adores my cuisine expertise. Nowadays, I try to take it easy. So, my answer to your question is: Thanks but no, thanks.

I'd like it if it has a lot of different and fun deserts.
