Him and his friends get to eat in the den and watch football but he won't let me when I want to eat popcorn while watching my penguin movie.

I think a simple "how come you get to eat in the den when you watch football and I don't? If I'm not allowed to eat in the den then you are not either" That should do. Do not allow for him to control you. Even if he does not eat in the den, you can if you want to. It's time to show your husband he cannot tell you what to do. He'll back off.

Ask him why it is ok for him and his friends to eat there, but not you. It is just popcorn and won't hurt anything if you do drop some. So, yeah, go ahead and ask him. Just don't do it in an accusing manner or any other hostile manner. Just as a question that you are curious about. If he can't give you a good answer, or one at all, then go pop you some popcorn and get ready to go watch your penguin movie. You are an adult and you are responsible enough to keep things clean, so there is no good reason.

Girl you are an adult and it is your house too. He eats in there so should you. Do you really take him telling you what you can and cannot do? Other people are allowed to eat in your den and you are not? Stand up for yourself and put your foot down. You are with a very controlling man, stop putting up with it. Don't convince him just do it and tell him where to go if he does not like it.

You do not owe him any explanation for eating in the den. He is not your mother. You are a grown woman. Just from what you have told us I fear that you are in an abusive relationship or headed that way and you are just too blinded by love to see it. Really think hard before you stay in this relationship or get pregnant. Please. Maybe you should talk to a spouse abuse counselor and just see if any of the warning signs of an abuser fit your husband.

don't ask him just do it, if his friends do it so can you, if he says anything about remind him that he eats in there also, he sounds like he is very selfish, if he don't like it tell to move out and get his own den
