Has anyone had this test ran? I had it done with a rigid scope years ago and it hurt like hell. I need it done again but this dr. has a fibro-optic scope which they say is better. I am really not wanting to do this and have great anxiety after my last ordeal. Any good stories or horror stoires to share?

sorry, no good stories to tell you. but i'm sure with the fibro-optic scope, it won't be anything like what you had done years ago. it's amazing the new technology that comes along each year......you'll be fine & i'm sure pain free.

PS what antsy says below.......don't forget she had it 4 years ago............a lot of improvement has been made in 4 years.

I had it done 4 years ago with the new scope. It was still VERY painful. The best thing I can suggest is to take some Advil or something about 20 minutes before your test. When I got home from mine I took a warm bath to try and soothe the pain. Good luck.
