Holidays are for family. The rule in my house is that everyone spends the holiday with their own families. Then, later, after the food digests and all, if you want to have a boyfriend(or girlfriend) over, or go to their house, then, that's fine. But, quality time with the family comes first. I remember what its like being young and wanting to be with you friends, but, there is a time for family too. Everyone at my house knows the rules. They have always been the rules, and nobody ever has a fit about them.
