If so, who do you think they will play?

Yes. I don't think people have really thought over how possible it is. Here is the BCS standings before this weekend...

1. LSU
2. Oregon
3. Kansas
4. Oklahoma
5. Mizzou
6. West Virginia
7. Ohio State

First off, Oregon and Oklahoma have fallen off. They both lost this week to unranked teams. That would jump OSU to at least the 5th rank. But consider this scenario... Kansas and Mizzou play each other next week so one of them is falling off and then they play the big12 title game which should be against oklahoma since they have a win against texas. Since Oklahoma lost, if they can beat the winner from that game, then 3 or 5 will also fall from the rankings [especially if kansas loses to Mizzou], whichever one won between the two. That displaces OSU 4 spots total from where they are now. That would leave,

1.LSU
2. West Virginia
3. OSU

LSU plays against a powerful Arkansas team which is no gimme, expecially if you consider how terrible their defence has been doing recently [exception Dorcey]. After that they are in the SEC championship game which will also be tough. If they run this table they deserve the BCS game for sure.

West Virginia took care of business this week but they have a much improved Uconn team to play next week which should be a good game. Even if they win out, it is possible that OSU could jump them. Don't get me wrong they are an impressive team but I am not sure people trust the Big East yet.

Either way, we just need one of these two teams to lose if this scenario plays out. Which I understand is unlikely but possible then OSU is back in the BCS title game!!!!

There is also the scenario where both West Virginia and LSU loses then we would likely be in the hunt playing the Big12 champ, assuming they haven't all disqualified themselves. Personally, if we do make it, I would like to play a legitimate team [as much as is possible this year]. Man don't you just love college football!!!!

hey skippy, they should get previous Texas first! Texas by potential of two touchdowns. They could no longer cope with Texas final year in Columbus, they do no longer even sniff them in Austin. Colt McCoy proved final week that he can cling directly to the soccer nicely sufficient to allow the working game and the protection to win video games. Ohio State proved final week that their protection can't end the working game, even against Northern Illinois. that is nonetheless summertime in Austin. Jamaal Charles runs everywhere in the Buckeye protection and Troy Smith melts interior the warmth. I-35 North could be fairly empty at halftime so the Buckeye followers shouldn't hit plenty site visitors getting an early start up out of my state. Hook'em !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edit speaking of lame, "zit confronted little youngster", good come returned. enable's see you run a Div. a million offense.

If you are asking mathematically can they the answer is yes, if you mean realistically no probably not, they need to pass Oregon Kansas Mizzou Oklahoma and WV. Oregon took care of there part on thursday night by losing, Kansas mizzou and oklahoma all play each other you need a scenario where they all get a loss out of that your real issue is West Virginia who play a cupcake schedule the rest of the year

Yes, but it'll be tough. A number of teams will have to lose in order for that to happen. This has been a crazy college FB year, so anything can happen.

I'm an OSU fan, but I'd be perfectly happy with the Rose Bowl this year. It's been a long time since we've been there.

It is possible, but not likely. There is 1 no loss team, and 4 1 loss teams above OSU, and another just behind them in the rankings. All of these teams still have games on their schedules, OSU is done until Jan 1.

It could still happen.

#2 is already down, the 3 Big 12 teams could all lose one game, and WV could easily lose one of their next three.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Yes...there is still a chance (although it's a very slim chance).
