Who decides what is right or wrong? I personally do not believe that having sex before marriage is wrong! However, I do not have anything against those who abstain! I say. "To each their own!!!"

I don't believe it's right or wrong. It's a matter of personal preference. There are only two or three truths that I consider to be universal (a universal truth being 100% true for all people 100% of the time):

1) 2+2=4 (as a symbol of mathematics; in other words, whatever mathematics has to say will always be true).

2) This universe is a something instead of a nothing.

There is also "Cogito, ergo sum" ("I think, therefore I am,") which means that since I am able to think, I know I exist. That is universally true for any person that exists, but no person can know with 100% certainty that anybody else exists, so long as there is always the possibility of schizophrenia and hallucination.

Anything else cannot possibly be known to be true, although I have faith that most things exist, and pretty much taken to be fact that they do.

well I come from a secular, liberal European society that is the polar opposite of all that American bible-belt stuff....so you can probably guess what my opinion is.

but, everyone has the right to there own decision and to run their life the way they want - so do whatever you feel is best...

oh, but by the way...no, there is no such thing as 'universal truth'....if you have been taught that then you've been taught ignorance by stupid and misinformed people....sorry.

Abstinence until marriage is a Biblical truth. It should be practiced by everyone, but sadly, many people either don't believe it, or don't care at all.
There are universal truths: lying will always be wrong; stealing will always be wrong; coveting will always be wrong; loving everyone will always be right; etc.

well, in all honesty, i think very few people stick to abstinence any more these days. even the ones that go to church and are very into the chuch. Is it right or wrong, well, it really depends on the person....me, i found that mister right, but b/c we both are scared to death to "tie the knot", we just live together and are each other's life partner...and yes, we have 3 wonderful children and have been together for 13 wonderful years. i am sure some people wouldn't be pleased, but it's our life and this is how we want to live it.
