I block people temporarily to get them off contact list, keeps from having too many fans or others having access to current questions/answers. Keeps people from stalking. All fans must meet specific criteria to be on my list, other users do the same, and we can only end up with a total of 200 on the list. I have no intention of offending anyone.

You know that happened to me once. This woman even gave me best answers and everything. Then one day I realized that I wasn't getting any emailed questions and then I saw her on the board and I clicked it and then found out I was blocked. She did unblock me but I have decided that I don't want her in my circle of friends so I don't answer anything she puts out there.
Her loss though. I'm fun.

I wouldn't worry about it. That person probably had a bad experience with another user (for example, a troll that continually changes his/her identity so that individual blocking does no good) and decided to do a total lock-down.

I block them back. It's annoying though, as I don't know why they wanted to block me in the first place.

Ignore them, and thus show how courageous you are. Nothing bothers someone more than when you aren't bothered. Pick your battles, and this should not be one of them; too many wars before you die, so chill.
