Yes. The splashing of water from the filter to the tank creates turbulence, which often forms bubbles. If you don't want to see the bubbles, you can make a floating platform that the water can spill onto. I made one using simple cork panels and Taiwan Moss (any aquatic moss works). well if mines normal it is normal to have some bubbles tank has been running over a year and fish are original
