for a small business. I am an African American woman starting a company for animals. I need enough funding to make costumes and other small purchases. I need about 15,000 to start but I have bad credit and am paying off some of my bills currently. There is a high demand for my service and i know it will help me to pay off my debts in their entirety if I could just get it started. Where can I get funding for this business with my credit?

Your personal credit has little to do with getting a business loan. If you need money, you will need to apply for a loan or find an investor. No lender or investor will talk to you unless you provide them with a valid business plan. Go to http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org or http://www.bplan.com for sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan.

it is almost impossible to get any investor to pay attention until after you have demonstrated that there is a paying market for your product.

not to mention that almost no serious investor will fool around for only 15k and any one who did would pull a credit report on you in a heartbeat -- after which their interest would end.
