Just because you're in water doesn't mean the female can't get pregnant. The semen still enters her and even though the water may wash it out, it's still possible.
My friend from highschool believed that rumor and she got pregnant that way.

A woman can get pregnant if shes under water, standing on her head, eating a popsicle - if you have sex - she can get pregnant.

Yes...whenever sex is involved, pregnancy is possible. Use protection. Even that isn't 100% effective...so pretty much, if you don't want a pregnancy, don't have sex.
