I'm going to be filming a video for a project in class, and my partners and I need a fog effect for the video. We're trying to keep it low budget so a fog machine is out of the question. We'll be filming really soon, so does anyone know if I can just store it in a cooler at room temperature? Also, we're buying about 2 pounds worth. Anyone know how to make the most of it?

PS The video is about 2 minutes long, but we're buying a little extra in case we have to do multiple takes

DO not use it in an enclosed environment, like a shut up class room, that much CO2 cna cause problems with gettting enough oxygen,

that said, buy cubes or pellets, spread them in the WIDE container in a shallow layer and pour on room temp water, its a very wispy fog, PS you can get el cheepo fog machines now at drug stores and the like after halloween, they will run in burst mode only ( lots of fog for a few seconds at a time) to keep it low to the ground set a tray of ice in front of the fog machine to cool the vapor

Standard small styrofoam cooler is best for keeping it. Film with a black cloth backgroung to see the "fog' from the dry ice. Watch out, the stuff will stick to your skin and give you frostbite. Handle with gloves.

Be careful as dry ice is CO2 and if it is in a tight room can kill if u are laying on the floor. CO2 is heavy enough to smother fire.
