A convicted sexual offender, fresh out of prison, manipulates and lies his way into the life of an 11 year old boy. He calls the boy's school, pretending to be the boy's father, and finally gets the boy away from his family, after several failed attempts. He was last seen getting into a U-Haul truck with the man.
He is found in a footlocker, dead. He has been raped by the man, and asphyxiated to death.
A Supreme Court in Jacksonville just gave this child molesting killer a stay of execution, citing that the drugs that are mixed for the execution might cause pain that is not detectable.
Is there something wrong with this picture? They should tie this guy to a post, and beat him to death with baseball bats!
My God, what is this country coming to? What are your feelings about this?

Fine, he doesn't want drugs? Dust off Ole Sparky and wire him up. I'll throw the switch myself.

I feel exactly the way you do. There should be no question at all about how to deal with such a sick individual. Too many of these perverted and dangerous people are also given light sentences or released too early. Also look at how many repeat offenders there are! This country is getting too soft on the real serious crimes like this. Slowly our rights are being taken away a few at a time. We as citizens should have a say as to how and when that child molesting killer is executed.

Americans should be up in arms about this and fight to ensure justice, on behalf of this child and all would-be innocent child victims, is done. And never let your country become a strong hold for the Human Rights brigade who care more about the criminal than the victims.

America should be proud to have the death penalty and to have a judicial system where a life sentence means life. As a Briton, I am sick of seeing paedophiles here doing vile and sadistic things to kids and get off with short sentences in cushy jails which are basically glorified hotels only to get out and re-offend. I wish we had some American judges over here because many of our judges live in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

I think the Supreme Court should have seen the pain as a bonus point for justice.
However, the death penalty may have made us all feel better, but he would only suffer for a few minutes and then die. A lifetime in prison will be much worse than the lethal injection, as inmates don't take too kindly to child molesting murders. However, I am angry that my tax money will be used to feeding that sicko in prison. And who cares if he suffers?!?! The punishment should fit the crime, and for this they should have disected him alive for science or something.

The judges in Jacksonville will one day have to stand before another Judge.. perhaps at that time, they will have a chance to look into the eyes of an 11-year old when He asks them what they thinking.

Want to eliminate pain in an execution? A painless death? Perhaps the guillotine needs to be brought back.

I couldn't agree with you more, it seems that the court system we have is more concerned with the offender than the victim.
Who cares if the injection causes discomfort!
Was his scumbag concerned with the discomfort he caused this child?
But I also have mixed feelings about the death penalty. Nothing religious or understanding about it.
What I truly feel is the death penalty is to quick, they are given an injection and they go to sleep. Bring back the old fashion chain gangs, no TV no computers no getting a college degree while in jail.
Throw this scum on a pile of rocks and give him a toy hammer.

I would vote for just tying him to a pole in the center of town with a big poster of the little boy he killed. But-that's not going to happen. The idea of the mix of drugs being too painful is absolutely ludicrous. It's supposed to kill the monster. But-if you look at our civil rights. we all have the right to die a peaceful death. I guess that doesnt mean the soldiers that are fighting in Iraq, but, we do have to do something about the people who feel for the perpetrator of horrific crimes. Maybe one day it will be their child and they'll start to think twice.

My feelings about this are pretty much like yours.
I have a son and I cannot envisage a scenario, a worst nightmare than an animal like that hurting my darling young son!!
I just don't know how to answer your question !!
Calling him an animal is insulting my beautiful dog and cat.
I would like to allow 20 women take care of him in public in an arena for us to see.
Is this the guy/scum you mean ?

I am surprised it happened in Florida. The Supreme Court in Florida is pretty strick and aplies the death penalty without flinching !!

It is sickening to see the mercy we show others who have shown no mercy. I don't think he should be tied to a post, but I do think that maybe he should be extradited to another state where the capitol punishment method is say the electric chair or gas chamber (no one ever really seemed to have problem with either of those) so he doesn't suck up anymore tax payer money.

This is just another horrible example of our idiotic justice system in this nation. Horrible. Fox News' Bill O'Reilly would be a good one to contact about this. He does not like this sort of thing, and is often good at demanding justice be done.
