Sorry to say the word you have been hearing is not "goop".
I strongly suspect the word you have been hearing ends with a "k" not a "p".

This is a very bad American racist word for a person of Oriental appearance.

Any American who uses this word should be ashamed. They are a disgrace to their country and so-called Western civilisation.

There is a word in English, 'goop' which means a creamy sort of substance, such as what you would put on your hair. That's a real word. The one you have been hearing is not a real word, not is it a nice word. It is '****' which is what ignorant people have called Vietnamese and IndoChinese people. So if someone calls you that, just ignore it, and feel sorry for them, because they are rude, crude and stupid. I'll bet they couldn't ask a question in YOUR language - so you have already proven that you are smarter than they are.

You must have heard it incorrectly. I don't believe there is such word. But don't worry, you will learn English in no time. Work on your grammar. Welcome to the states.
