unfair as it is if u assaulted her she can press charges, i thought once of assaulting my husbands new girlfriend, i was hurt upset, and brokenhearted. she even flaunted herself right up in my face. but i knew if i touched her i would be charged and she would go Scot free with no consequences. sometimes we just have to walk away and accept it even though it isn't fair and we do feel a rage within us. get an attorney and from now on control your emotions, nothing u do is going to change it.

That's the problem with this crap. Someone can interfer with your life and turn it upside down and not a darn thing you can do about it without ending up in the position you are in right now. Is it fair? I don't think so !! They should have to accept whatever comes their way when they are confronted. I feel sometimes that you are forced into making the decision you made. Jeez..I hate cheating spouses !!!!

Get a lawyer, and hope he can plead "mitigating circumstances" or "temporary insanity".
If it is your 1st offense, you will probably have to pay a fine & spend time on probation.

Need more details. Who did you assault? I hope that it was your husband and not her. He is the one cheating on you not her unless she was your sister or your friend.
