Funny, nice twist on a political agenda. Personally, I see alot of parental involvement, encouragement in community involvement, and a healthy interest in local and national interests as producing conservative values. I learned those all from a family structure of few spankings and alot of responsibility. I am also passing the same on to my children.

Those friends of mine who are liberal describe horrible lives of abuse, neglect, and crime. They turn to the state to support and help them instead of turning to their community. Most fail to live in a stable environment as they didn't have the role models to follow. My liberal friends work for business owners who they describe as more conservative. I guess you can see who has the greater wealth, the job producer or the job occupier.

You should take sociology and ethics classes. I had a blast in mine.

there is no correlation between parenting styles and pollitical alignment that can be traced. It has to do with the values that parents teach their children. I was raised with a mix of both parenting styles that you described and I came out being a liberal-leaning moderate.

Yes and considering the outcome of the second parenting style the first is preferable. The second is permissive and its products are the serial killers and child molestors of the modern age.
