does anyone know a good supplemental book to ace first year calculus that you can recommend? preferably would be nice if you've had first-hand experience with it (i.e. get a good grade with it)
thanks

The best calculus textbook I've ever known -- BY FAR -- is Michael Spivak's. It's simply called "Calculus". Spivak was just a wonderfully clear writer and explainer.

I imagine, however, that it's been out of print for a few decades, so you'd have to go to used book sources to find it.
